JOURNAL:

When we first arrived to Antigua, we were all dealing with a stomach bug.  So our first few days there were very low key.  Manilla got hit the worst, poor guy and was nothing but cuddly.  We spent some time checking out local beaches, trying out the local gym,  and even caught a few movies at the local theatre.

At the gym, we met some incredible girls that introduced us to South Point English Harbour.  We had initially spent our first few days in an AirBNB but quickly packed up so we could enjoy some time in English Harbour.  This place was adorable.  The harbour is beautiful with some incredible boats docked.   The view both day and night were breathtaking.  This part of the island was very different from the rest and had such a fun community about it.

We were anxiously awaiting the arrival of our friends, Jennie and Romy.  We know them from BYU Soccer.  We planned a couple olympics which went perfectly at The Verandah Resort & Spa.  The Verandah is an all-inclusive which isn't typically our style, but it was actually a nice change of pace.  The kids played at the kids club all the time, and we were able to get some really great adult time and played hard too!  We played tennis, mini golf, shuffle board, bocce ball and a bunch of water sports during our olympics.  At the end, were all tied up and we ended with a gym olympics.  Sadly, we lost.  But it was such a blast.
